The material started life as a rice or grain bag in Indonesia. The bags come in a huge variety of wonderful colours and can be seen on the back of trucks in Asia, piled high in pinks, reds, greens, turquoises, etc. The sacks are rescued before being sent to landfill sites and then cleverly made into picnic rugs by skilled local folk working as part of a fair trade project in Indonesia.
