Nkuku - Shop

Nkuku was founded by Alex and Alistair Cooke shortly after they returned from a year travelling through Africa and India together. They were inspired by the talented artisans that they met on their trip of a lifetime. After witnessing their skills and the beautiful products that they produced, they decided to found a business that would help to promote and develop these skills.

The name 'Nkuku" was borrowed from a village in Zambia where they saw it whitewashed on a hut and the business plan was jotted down on the back of a paper back. On their return to the UK they relocated from London to South Devon, and so began the journey of Nkuku.  

Nkuku is socially responsible and built on the principles of fair trade and equal opportunity.

Alex and Alistair recently returned to India with their 4 children, to 'show them why we love it so much'.
